Dash and AJ Chillin' By The Beach

More humanized art.  So my brain has started to develop an basic world view of my 'non-pon universe'. Rather than a rural township the main cast live on a tropical archipelago called Aethona, which is part of the mainland Kingdom of Ar'kestria.

Dash is a Navy Brat who fully intended to join up like her parents, after completing school, however she was continually rejected on medical grounds. Thoroughly depressed and with no real direction she ended up as beach bum, but later picked up part-time work as a life-guard, swimming teacher, diving instructor, etc... Dash is never more at home than when she's in the water.

AJ runs a beach small side surf shop/bait shop/hire centre/souvenir shop. AJ and her family are dirt poor and will basically turn their hand to anything to keep a roof over their heads.

Dash and AJ became close friends due to similar predicaments and geographic location (they're pretty much always on the beach). They spend most of their time together coming with get-rich-quick schemes to lift them out of their dead-end existences.
